Cumbria Area Nunchaku Championships
This year we held the Cumbria Area
Nunchaku Championships at the Dojo in Windermere.
People started arriving at 9.30am ready to go!
When all the competitors had arrived Sensei ran through the SNUK rules.
The first competitors to fight were the 4 - 6 year olds.
Saffron Hastie (4 years old from Windermere) came in first place,
Charlie Elbourne (5 years old from Kendal) came in Second place & Kian Walker (4 years from Carlisle) came in third place.
Well done guys.
The next competition was the 7 - 9 year olds. This was a long competition as there were quite a few people competing.
The semi’s & finals took place after lunch.
On the day we also did a BBQ, bouncy castle, raffle & stalls.
So….. For lunch everyone took a break and went heading over to the BBQ yummy!
After a delish tasty burger we started the 7-9 year old finals.
Well done to Max Smythe for coming first, Liam Mason in second and Ben Cook came third.
Please see results below for all competitors.
We then went on to the 10 - 14 year old competition with Keelan Knight (World Champion) coming in first place,
Jessica Powley in second & Tom Miles in third, well done.
The day went on a bit longer than expected,
however everyone enjoyed
themselves and was a huge success. Throughout the whole day we raised £762.25.
